Meet The Team


Margarita Soto

Co Founder of Appigi


Margarita draws from her experiences as a social worker, prosecutor, and community organizer to understand the needs of the caseworker and of the end-user.

Teri Yuan

Co Founder of Appigi


Teri oversees youth workforce development, education and literacy programs where case managers rely on being able to have the right resource to offer to the client at the right time.

Justin Prieto

Developer


Justin manages all aspects and phases of app development.  He is the technical thought leader.

Stella Lee

Designer


Stella is a fourth year New Media Designer at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Raised in Brooklyn, she enjoys UI/UX and visual design, writing, drawing, and Doctor Who.

Jamal Jones

Videographer


Jamal Curtis Jones is a filmmaker, producer and entrepenuer. Among his interests are directing, writing, producing, editing, photography, and sound editing and mixing.  

William Bachman

Advisory Board Member


Will Bachman worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Co. for five years before starting his own strategy and operations consulting practice in 2008. He has deep expertise in generating insights from data to drive business performance and has advised the senior leadership of over thirty Fortune 500 and midsize companies on their most pressing issues. Bachman is a summa cum laude graduate of Harvard College and received his MBA from Columbia Business School.

Traci Donnelly

Advisory Board Member


Traci Donnelly is CEO and Executive Director of The Child Center of NY, a NYC nonprofit that helps over 18,000 at-risk children and youth succeed in life each year. Previously, Traci worked as Vice President and Regional Director at Phoenix House, as a director of mental health services, and as a special education teacher. Traci earned her master’s degree in education and her bachelor’s degree in psychology/criminal justice from Dowling College in Oakdale, NY.

Parker Krasney

Advisory Board Member


Parker Krasney is Senior Advisor with the NYC Center for Economic Opportunity, where he coordinates the management, monitoring and evaluation of programs serving individuals with justice system involvement, and serves as liaison to the NYC Young Men's Initiative.   Parker has over a decade of public service experience in the philanthropic, advocacy, direct service and government sectors. He holds a BA in Anthropology from Vassar College and an MPA from the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University. 

Jessica Murphy

Advisory Board Member


Jessica Murphy has worked for the New York City Health & Hospitals Corporation since 2004.  She currently works in the NYC HHC's Office of Healthcare Improvement, collaborating with the team and the HHC facilities to improve population-based preventative health outcomes.  Jessica served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Dominican Republic from 1999-2001 and has a Masters of Public Administration from NYU's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.

NYC BigApps 2014 is an initiative of NYCEDC to promote government transparency and the creation of innovative new technologies. Following NYC BigApps 2013, this year’s event is the fifth annual run of the competition and is being managed by HR&A Advisors in collaboration with Super Vision and Splash.
